Tipsy 'beaver' steals blackcurrant cordial in botched nightclub theft

Unfortunately for the beaver, he was caught on CCTV.

DO YOU RECOGNISE this tipsy Welsh beaver?

The curious creature was involved in a bit of a botched nightclub theft over the weekend.

The Oceana Nightclub in Swansea, Wales, captured images of  the fancy-dress clad individual stealing from behind the bar.

CCTV footage from the nightclub shows the ‘Beaver’ leaning over the bar in question and grabbing a bottle, before making a very swift departure.

He or she was then recorded leaving the nightclub at speed via the fire escape, with the disguise still intact.

The ‘Beaver’ has yet to be identified, but it has since emerged that their great ‘heist’ didn’t exactly cost the business too much, because the only thing they got away with was a bottle of blackcurrant cordial worth about 72 cent (60p) .

“It contains no alcohol, but lots of berries”, a message on the club’s official Facebook page stated.

Were you short of one of your five-a-day? We suggest next time you use a disguise that doesn’t restrict your vision.

The Oceana Nightclub has decided not to pursue the beaver, but did send this message to the criminal mastermind’s known associates via Facebook:

We did contemplate calling the Police however, having to report a tipsy Beaver running up a sweat down the Kingsway armed with some fruit juice wasn’t on the cards. If anyone noticed a friend return home last night, out of breath, fury and with purple lips, please point them to the nearest Specsavers.

We’re sure the purple-lipped perpetrator will think twice before doing it again.
